Translation services FAQ
Here are some FAQs we get from our clients:
What is proofreading?
Proofreading is not only reading the text and correcting punctuation. It is very important to modify the text so it’s written in an appropriate style. This can include: using synonyms in order to avoid repetition, making sentences flow together, and simply creating the smoothest translation possible.
Why do we use two proofreaders for one translation?
The first proofreader is a translator who will make sure the translations have the correct form and style. The second proofreader is a translator who specializes in the specific area of the translation, and he/she goes through the text to make sure that everything sounds correct, keeping our high standards and meeting the client’s needs.
Here is how our quality control management looks like:
How long time does it take for a 500-word translation?
This depends mostly on the field of translation, but if it is medical or technical translation (the most complicated ones), it takes us 48 hours.
